Burak Öz is a Research Fellow at the Chair of Software Engineering for Business Information Systems (sebis) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). His research focuses on blockchain economics, maximal extractable value (MEV), decentralized finance (DeFi), and Ethereum systems. He has contributed to foundational studies on MEV mitigation, smart contract optimization, and decentralized finance infrastructure. His recent work focuses on cross-chain MEV extraction and blockchain interoperability. He has published extensively in conferences like IEEE ICBC, ACM SAC, and AFT, with keywords spanning Ethereum, DeFi, and automated market makers.
