Audris Mockus is the Ericsson-Harlan D. Mills Chair Professor in the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He holds a PhD in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University and has extensive experience in software engineering research, particularly in Digital Archaeology and Open Source Software analysis. His work focuses on understanding developer behavior, software evolution, and global software development challenges. Lead PI on NSF grants totaling over $2M for projects like the World of Code (WoC) infrastructure and forensic image curation. Patents in data visualization and software defect prediction.
