Stella Ramos-Canut is an Associate Professor of Physics at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 , affiliated with the Institute of Light and Matter (ILM, UMR 5306 CNRS) . Her research focuses on Liquids, Interfaces, and Transfer Phenomena , particularly Dynamics of Liquids at Interfaces and Thermal/Matter Transfer on Micro-Nanostructured Surfaces . She also investigates Biomedical Surfaces and Interfaces , including Adhesion and Wetting on Dental Surfaces . Her work spans Surface Science , Nanotechnology , and Materials Engineering , with expertise in Swift Heavy Ion Irradiation and Cluster Beam Interactions . She has contributed to mac SUP , a transdisciplinary program blending scientific research and artistic creation, co-authoring projects and serving on its steering committee. Her teaching includes Continuum Mechanics , Soft Matter , Statistical Mechanics , and Thermodynamics at the Master's and engineering levels. Stella collaborates with institutions like ENS Lyon , INSA Lyon , and Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon . Her recent publications analyze superhydrophobicity , droplet evaporation , and wetting transitions using ion beam techniques and nanoscale surface modifications .
