CAO Huiling is an Associate Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Biochemistry , School of Medicine , Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) . She is a National Outstanding Young Scientist and Shenzhen Overseas High-level Talent. Her research focuses on skeletal development, bone homeostasis, and related diseases, as well as glucose and fat metabolism. Xuekun Fu is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Southern University of Science and Technology since 2022. He holds a Joint Ph.D. from Hong Kong Baptist University and Southern University of Science and Technology (2020). Research Focus : Mechanistic studies of bone & joint diseases and tumors Applications : Translational medicine for skeletal disorders and cancer His research explores molecular pathways in skeletal homeostasis and tumor progression, particularly involving mechanotransduction, zinc metabolism, and cell signaling. Recent publications emphasize bone biology, tumor metastasis, and translational approaches. Collaborations with interdisciplinary teams highlight integrative studies in osteosarcoma, mechanobiology, and cartilage development.
