Mrs. Michelle Maw is a Lecturer in the Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Sydney, specializing in clinical education and acute care nursing. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she holds qualifications including a Master of Education (MEd) and certifications in Intensive Care and Neurology Nursing. Her research focuses on critical care nursing, clinical supervision, and nurse education. She has contributed to studies like the 2018 interprofessional learning placement resource project and the 2013 simulation-based blood pressure training study. Her teaching areas include acute care nursing and clinical education. Awarded the 2006 Best First Time Presenter award and the 2005 Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery team award, she is also a member of the Australian Nurse Teachers Society and Royal College of Nursing Australia. Current projects include exploring integrated clinical experiences in undergraduate nursing programs. She has collaborated on grants such as the 2022 Inter-Professional Medication Safety Micro-curriculum and the 2017 Electronic Medical Record Simulation initiative.
