Professor Aaron Williamon is a leading academic in Performance Science at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London, where he founded and directs the Centre for Performance Science (CPS), a collaboration with Imperial College London. He holds the title of Professor of Performance Science, having joined the RCM as a Research Fellow in 2000 and been promoted to Senior Research Fellow (2004) and full Professor (2010). His work bridges music, science, and health, focusing on optimizing performance, music education, and the societal impact of the arts. Key roles include founding the International Symposium on Performance Science, editing Performance Science journal, and leading Healthy Conservatoires, an initiative promoting health literacy among artists.
