Dr. Marta Szymańska-Pytlińska serves as a Lecturer at Adam Mickiewicz University where she coordinates the ERASMUS+ scholarship programme as Dean's Representative. She teaches Clinical Sexology (conversation/exercises) and Personality courses, focusing on psychosexual development and clinical sexology within her academic role. Her research examines normative and disordered psychosexual development, body self-concept in women's sexual functioning, gender diversity issues, and sexual health education. Current investigations analyze how anatomical genital defects influence sexual functioning through body self mediation, particularly in women with MRKH syndrome. Publications demonstrate consistent focus on clinical and forensic sexology, with recurring themes in paraphilias, sexual offending against children, and women's sexual health. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical clinical applications, especially regarding diagnostic criteria and therapeutic interventions for atypical sexual behaviors. Scientific recognition includes: Second place in the Nobody's Children Foundation competition for her master's thesis on child abuse etiology She served on the Executive Board of the European Society on Family Relations (2014-2018) and provides judicial sexological opinions. Current research continues the investigation into body self dynamics among women with congenital genital conditions, exploring psychological adaptations to anatomical limitations.
