Diego Calvanese is a Visiting Professor at Umeå University's Department of Computing Science and holds a full professorship at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy. His research focuses on AI for data management, including virtual knowledge graphs (VKG), ontology-based data access (OBDA), and formal methods like description logics.
