Ola Nabwani is a Research Fellow at the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Zionism, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research focuses on gender dynamics in the Israeli labor market, particularly comparing work-family conflicts between Arab and Jewish women. Using merged census data (2011-2013) and Labour Force Surveys (1995-2011), the study highlights how marriage acts as a critical inflection point for Arab women's employment, preceding childbearing. This comparative analysis of cultural norms, opportunity structures, and policy impacts aims to inform strategies for socioeconomic integration in multicultural societies.
