Ellen Gurman Bard is a Reader in the Department of Linguistics and English Language at the University of Edinburgh's School of Philosophy, Psychology, and Language Sciences, and an Associate of the Human Communication Research Centre in the School of Informatics. Her academic career centers on experimental psycholinguistics, investigating the interplay between speech production and perception, and the cognitive mechanisms underlying dialogue.
