Dr. Moray Newlands is a Reader in Civil Engineering and Associate Dean for Enterprise and Economic Transformation at the University of Dundee's School of Science and Engineering. He holds a PhD in Concrete Technology from the same institution. His research focuses on low-carbon concrete, sustainable materials, and renewable energy infrastructure, with an emphasis on reducing construction costs through innovative methods like additive manufacturing. He leads European standardization efforts for concrete durability testing and organizes the Dundee Concrete Conference. Newlands has secured funding from UK Research Councils, Innovate UK, and industry partners, contributing to over 65 publications and two key awards.
