Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Melih Toğçuoğlu serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine, a position he has held since 2016. Previously, he was a Research Assistant at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English Program) from 2010 to 2014. His clinical and academic work spans diagnostic and interventional radiology with emphasis on complex vascular and neurological imaging. His educational foundation includes: 2002-2009: Bachelor of Medicine (English Program), Marmara University 2010-2014: Specialist in Radiodiagnostics, Hacettepe University Dr. Toğçuoğlu's research demonstrates exceptional breadth across interventional radiology , neuroradiology , and abdominal imaging . His work on dual-energy CT dose optimization, cerebral aneurysm treatments, and pediatric vascular interventions has established him as a technical innovator. He consistently bridges clinical challenges with advanced imaging solutions, particularly in perfusion studies and minimally invasive tumor therapies. His methodology emphasizes quantitative analysis and safety protocols in contrast agent usage. Analysis of his recent publications (2018-2021) reveals three dominant trends: (1) Technical refinement of dual-energy CT for dose reduction, (2) Expansion of interventional techniques for vascular pathologies including complex aneurysms and hemoptysis management, and (3) Growing focus on neurological applications like diffusion tensor tractography for surgical planning. His work increasingly integrates pediatric considerations across multiple subspecialties. His scientific recognition includes: Turkish Radiology Association Photo Competition 2nd Prize in Radiological Photography Certificate of Honor from Marmara University Neurointerventional Radiology Fellowship from European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy Dr. Toğçuoğlu has supervised multiple theses while teaching advanced courses in gastrointestinal and vascular imaging at Yeditepe University. His administrative duties include curriculum development for radiology residents. He actively collaborates on research projects involving perfusion CT standardization and interventional oncology protocols, with grant support from radiological societies. His memberships in international societies facilitate cross-border research on vascular interventions. He maintains active clinical practice through affiliations with Ankara Keçiören Training and Research Hospital and contributes to national radiology guidelines through the Turkish Radiology Society. His ongoing work focuses on AI-assisted image analysis for tumor characterization and expanding dual-energy CT applications in emergency settings.
