Yanzhi Wang is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University , affiliated with the Institute for Experiential AI and the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things . He holds a PhD from the University of Southern California (2014). His research focuses on real-time AI systems, deep neural network compression, neuromorphic computing, and non-von Neumann architectures. Notable projects include NSF-funded initiatives on age-inclusive urban design, superconducting computing (DISCoVER), and edge device optimization (PatDNN).
