Prof. Dr. Irena Hajnsek is a Full Professor at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at ETH Zurich. She heads the Polarimetric SAR Interferometry research group at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and serves as Scientific Coordinator for the TanDEM-X satellite mission. Her work focuses on electromagnetic wave propagation, radar polarimetry, and SAR data processing for environmental monitoring.
