Miguel Domínguez Vázquez is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Santiago de Compostela and a researcher at the Galician Center for Mathematical Research and Technology (CITMAga). His research focuses on differential geometry, particularly on the interplay between symmetry and shape in Riemannian submanifold geometry. He co-organized the 2025 conference 'Symmetry and Shape' celebrating Prof. C. Olmos's 65th birthday. Affiliations: Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, CITMAga, and the Research Group in Mathematics. Projects: Principal Investigator of national project PID2022-138988NB-I00 and Galician Government project ED431F 2020/04. His research interests include isoparametric hypersurfaces, cohomogeneity one actions, and geometric symmetries in symmetric spaces. Recent work includes studies on positive Ricci curvature, Ricci solitons, and geometric boundary problems. He has advised multiple PhD students, including Tomás Otero and Alberto Rodríguez Vázquez, who received the RSME-BBVA Vicent Caselles prize. Notable collaborations include work with Jürgen Berndt, José Carlos Díaz Ramos, and Andreas Kollross. His contributions span over 30 publications in journals like Compositio Math , Advances in Mathematics , and Mathematische Annalen .
