Martin Geidl is a Professor at the School of Engineering and Environment, FHNW - University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, where he serves as Head of the Institute of Electric Power Systems. He is also an External Lecturer for Power Systems and has held leadership roles in energy services and grid planning sectors. PhD in Power Systems, ETH Zurich (2007) Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Graz University of Technology (2003) Didactics Certificate, ETH Zurich (2007) His research focuses on smart grid technologies, prosumer optimization, and distributed energy systems. He investigates virtual power plants, demand response mechanisms, and the impact of national energy strategies on distribution grids. Geidl has held key positions at Swissgrid Ltd., tiko Energy Solutions Ltd., and ETH Zurich's didactics training program. He is a representative on the Swiss Federal Energy Research Commission CORE and a member of the Scientific Advisory & Project Board of 50Hertz, Germany.
