Sanja Ninković serves as Associate Professor at the Department of German Language and Literature within the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. Her educational background includes: Diploma (1999/2000) in German Language and Literature Master’s Degree (2008/09) in Philological Sciences (German Studies) Doctorate (2012/13) in Philological Sciences (German Studies) Professor Ninković’s research centers on contrastive German-Serbian linguistics , with primary expertise in morphology, syntax, and phraseology. Her work uniquely bridges theoretical analysis with practical language teaching applications, particularly examining taboo language, emotional expressions in idioms, and grammatical structures across cultural contexts. This interdisciplinary approach reveals how linguistic phenomena reflect sociocultural norms in Central Europe. Analysis of her 2011-2018 publications shows consistent focus on cross-linguistic equivalence , with notable emphasis on prepositional semantics, animal metaphors in profanity, and verb morphology.
