Uladzislau Ivanou is an Associate Professor in the Academic Department of Social Sciences at the European Humanities University (EHU), affiliated with the Center for Gender Studies. He holds a PhD in Sociolinguistics (Warsaw University, 2017) and a Master's in Political Science and European Studies (Strasbourg Institute of Political Studies, France, 2002). His teaching focuses on academic writing, political ideologies, and contemporary theories of democracy. His research explores political sciences, ethnology, gender theory, European studies, political philosophy, and sociolinguistics. Notable works include monographs on Belarusian language feminization and contributions to studies on hate speech, authoritarianism, and linguistic identity. Recent projects include editing collaborative political science collections and co-authoring Belarusian-French dictionaries. He has been involved in initiatives like the 'Writers Against Hate Speech' project and training programs on ideological analysis for political parties. Award: Long-listed for the Ukrainian Drahomán Prize-2022. Key Projects: Belarusian-French Dictionary Project (2017-2023), C.O.N.T.A.C.T. hate speech analysis (2018). He actively promotes science through media engagement, including articles in Belarusian and Lithuanian publications like Новы Час and Šiaurės Atėnai, focusing on gender, politics, and cultural critique.
