Hongwei Tan is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Applied Physics at Aalto University, affiliated with the School of Science and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2011-2016) and a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from Nankai University (awarded 2011). Research focuses on neuromorphic computing, memristors, wearable health monitoring, and bioinspired materials. Principal Investigator of the Optoelectronic Synapses for Artificial Neuro Networks project (2018-2021).
