Eva Sørensen is a Professor at the Department of Social Sciences and Business, Roskilde School of Governance, Roskilde University. Her work focuses on political leadership, co-creation, and network governance, with a particular emphasis on democratic quality and institutional development in public administration. Education: PhD in Political Science (1996), MA in Political Science (1989), both from University of Copenhagen. Research interests include: Metagovernance and network governance Citizen co-creation in local governance Robust governance in turbulent times Democratic theory and institutional development Recent article trends explore co-creation for sustainability, hybrid governance models, and the application of robustness theory to public administration challenges. Her collaborative research spans Denmark, Norway, and international contexts. Scientific awards : Best article in American Review of Public Administration (2011) Best Article in Public Administration (1998) Highly Commended paper (2020) Teaching and supervision includes extensive work with PhD students and mid-career master's programs. She leads major research projects like ROBUST (2022-2026) and GOGREEN (2022-2026), and previously directed the Danish National PhD School Polforsk (2008-2012). Labs and teams include the Center for Societal Security and Resilience (SECURE) and the Centre for Democratic Network Governance (CDN). She collaborates globally through networks like ECPR, ASPA, and IRSPM.
