She has successfully guided doctoral candidates through projects on Pre-Raphaelite art, Tennyson's library, and comic strips, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing emerging scholars. Her ERC project provides substantial funding for research assistants and postdoctoral researchers, creating opportunities for early-career academics in her field. She also maintains an active creative writing practice, with short stories published in Headland Journal and Newsroom.co.nz. Her research group collaborates closely with the Sussex Digital Humanities Lab on innovative digital methods for identifying rejected books in copyright libraries. This interdisciplinary work bridges traditional literary scholarship with computational approaches, creating new methodologies for book historical research.
