Rohit Kannan is an Assistant Professor in the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from MIT and a B.Tech. from IIT Madras. His research focuses on integrating machine learning with global optimization and optimization under uncertainty, emphasizing energy systems applications. Previous roles include postdoc positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery.
