Hamid Nawab is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University, with an affiliated appointment in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He holds a PhD from MIT (1982) and has been recognized for exceptional teaching, including the College of Engineering inaugural Teaching Excellence in the Core Curriculum Award (2025) and multiple ECE Department Excellence in Teaching Awards. His research focuses on computational signal processing, applied artificial intelligence, and biomedical signal analysis, particularly in EMG and patient activity monitoring. He has taught courses such as Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, and graduate teaching seminars.
