Richard H. Dang, PharmD, APh, FCPhA serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Assistant Director of the Residency Programs at the University of Southern California (USC) Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences within the Titus Family Department of Clinical Pharmacy. He also coordinates the USC Community Pharmacy Residency Program and provides medical consultation to international travel health and vaccination companies. Dr. Dang earned his Doctor of Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, and Health Communication degrees from USC, completing a postgraduate residency in community pharmacy practice with additional training at VA Long Beach Healthcare System, CVS/pharmacy, and Kaiser Permanente. He was California's first Advanced Practice Pharmacist, instrumental in developing the Advanced Practice Pharmacist Certificate Training Program. His research focuses on clinical pharmacy innovations with emphasis on immunizations, travel health, and community-based interventions. During the pandemic, Dr. Dang led the City of Los Angeles COVID-19 Vaccination Program, administering nearly 1.5 million doses through mass vaccination sites including Dodger Stadium. His scholarly work examines hypertension management in specialty pharmacy, credentialing for advanced practice pharmacists, and travel medicine education. He serves as national trainer for several certificate programs and holds leadership positions including Vice Chair of the Immunization Action Coalition of Los Angeles County and liaison member of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. His practice sites include the USC International Travel Health Clinic, USC Medication Management Center, and collaborative clinics with USC Pharmacies and Keck Medical Center.
