Emilie Dressaire is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Her research focuses on fluid mechanics at small scales and complex fluids, with an emphasis on bio-inspired engineering solutions for fluid flow control and monitoring. She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University, an MS in Biophysics from the University of Paris, and a BS in Physics and Chemical Engineering from ESPCI. Her work spans interdisciplinary applications, including fluid-driven fractures, microfluidics, filtration systems, and biological fluid dynamics.
