Thore Graepel is a Professor of Machine Learning at University College London (UCL) and Senior Vice President of Computational Science, AI & ML at Altos Labs. His research focuses on multi-agent learning systems, cooperative AI, and the application of machine learning to complex societal challenges. He obtained his PhD in machine learning from the Technical University of Berlin and has held positions at Microsoft Research and DeepMind. Notable contributions include the Xbox Live TrueSkill ranking system, the AdPredictor framework for Bing, and work on AlphaGo. Research Interests: Multi-agent learning, game theory, reinforcement learning, artificial intelligence ethics, and applications in cellular rejuvenation.
