Dr. David A. Burton is a Senior Lecturer in Physics at Lancaster University , with a career spanning theoretical physics, applied mathematics, and engineering. His research focuses on interdisciplinary problems at the intersection of these fields, particularly in relativistic continuum mechanics , gravitational wave detection , laser-plasma physics , and dark matter exploration . Research Interests : Applied differential geometry, high-energy physics, vortex-induced vibrations, nonlinear electrodynamics, and quantum vacuum phenomena. Teaching : Fluid dynamics, General Relativity, theoretical condensed matter physics, analytical mechanics, and vector calculus for physicists.
