Jakub Chrenowicz is an accomplished conductor and academic currently serving as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Symphonic and Opera Conducting at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. With a distinguished career in musical direction and performance, he has conducted numerous prestigious orchestras and operatic and ballet productions across Poland and internationally. His academic credentials include a PhD received in 2016 from the University of Music Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw, where his thesis advisor was Professor Antoni Wit. His academic journey also included studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main as part of the LLP-Erasmus program, and a scholarship at Accademia Musicale Chigiana to study under Gianluigi Gelmetti. Chrenowicz's artistic career has been marked by significant collaborations with renowned orchestras such as the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Kammerorchester Berlin, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu Orchestra and Choir in Barcelona. He has conducted important productions including the Polish National Ballet's Biblical Parables, Casanova in Warsaw, and operatic works such as Moniuszko's The Haunted Manor and Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. His artistic collaborations have included work with acclaimed soloists such as Alexander Gavrylyuk, Daniil Trifonov, Iulianna Avdeeva, Soyoung Yoon, Dang Thai Son, Peter Jablonski, Kaja Danczowska, Jadwiga Rappé, Olga Pasiecznik, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Piotr Paleczny, Tomasz Strahl, Bartłomiej Nizioł, Jakub Jakowicz, Łukasz Długosz, Leszek Możdżer and David Krakauer. His professional achievements include receiving the prestigious Kiepura Award for Best Theatre Conductor in 2016 from the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw. As an academic, he contributes to the education of future conductors while maintaining an active performance schedule.
