Saphinaz Amal Naguib is a Professor Emerita at the University of Oslo, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages. Her academic career spans over four decades, focusing on Cultural History, Egyptology, and Museum Studies. She held leadership roles, including Director of the Centre Universitaire de Norvège à Paris (2004–2006) and Head of the doctoral program in Cultural and Religious History (2008–2012). Her research emphasizes material culture, heritage studies, and ancient Egyptian religion.
