Prof. Dr. Can ÇOĞUN is a distinguished academic and administrator currently serving as both Professor and Rector at Çankaya University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechatronics Engineering. With a career spanning over four decades, he has held significant academic positions at prestigious institutions including Middle East Technical University and Gazi University. His academic journey began with his education at Middle East Technical University where he earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Prof. ÇOĞUN's research focuses primarily on advanced manufacturing technologies, with particular expertise in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and nontraditional machining processes. His extensive body of work demonstrates deep specialization in precision manufacturing, metal cutting, and production engineering.
