Howard Manns is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics within the Faculty of Arts at Monash University, Australia. His research lies at the intersection of sociolinguistics, linguistic anthropology, and conversation analysis, with a strong focus on language, identity, and meaning-making in multilingual and multicultural interactions. His academic expertise spans several linguistic contexts, including Persian, Indonesian, sign languages, and Australian/World Englishes.
