Professor Sieh-Chuen Huang is a full-time faculty member at the College of Law, National Taiwan University (NTU), where she currently serves as Vice Dean and Professor of Law. She has held progressive academic ranks at NTU since 2009, including Assistant Professor (2009-2014), Associate Professor (2014-2020), and Professor (2020-present). Her academic journey began at NTU with a Bachelor of Laws (2001), followed by advanced degrees from Hokkaido University, Japan, where she earned her Master of Laws (2004) and Doctor of Juridical Science (2006). Doctor of Juridical Science, Hokkaido University Master of Laws, Hokkaido University Bachelor of Laws, National Taiwan University Professor Huang's research focuses on family law, guardianship systems, trusts and estates, empirical legal studies, and legal analytics. Her work examines intergenerational property transfer in aged societies, utilizing both doctrinal and data-driven approaches to analyze judicial decision-making patterns in family law and guardianship contexts. Her recent scholarly output demonstrates a strong emphasis on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to legal analysis, particularly in areas like child custody determinations, drunk driving sentencing, and guardianship for persons with disabilities. This innovative approach bridges traditional legal scholarship with computational methods.
