Scott Franklin is a Professor and Department Chair in the School of Biological Sciences within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado. He has been at UNC since 2008, progressing from Assistant Professor to his current position as full Professor and Department Chair since 2014. Prior to UNC, he held faculty positions at the University of Memphis (1997-2008) and was a Research Fellow at the University of Joensuu, Finland. Dr. Franklin's educational background includes dual PhDs in Plant Ecology from Southern Illinois University (1996) and Biology/Forestry from the University of Joensuu, Finland (1996), an MS in Forest Ecology from Southern Illinois University (1990), and a BS in Biology/Conservation Management from Upper Iowa University (1988).
