Giovanni Antonio SALVATORE is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. His research focuses on advanced electronics, particularly flexible, biocompatible, and biodegradable systems, with applications in sustainable technology and energy efficiency. He leads research projects funded by MIUR and collaborates internationally in the fields of electronic packaging and power module simulation. His research interests include flexible and biocompatible electronics , biodegradable electronic packaging from biowaste , and multiphysics simulation of power modules for electric vehicles using wide bandgap semiconductors. His work bridges materials science, electronics engineering, and sustainability, aiming to develop eco-friendly and high-performance electronic systems. Dr. Salvatore has served in key academic roles, including Associate Editor for Frontiers in Electronics - Bioelectronics and Editorial Advisory Board Member for Micro and Nanosystems Journal. He has also acted as a referee for prestigious funding bodies such as the European Research Council (ERC) and the Israel Science Foundation (ISF). His prior experience includes roles as Senior Scientist at ABB Corporate Research, Team Leader at ETH Zurich, and Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under Prof. John A. Rogers. Dr. Salvatore is also responsible for Laboratory Teaching and Research Activities (RDRL) and serves as Laboratory Safety Officer at the Research Institute for Complexity Sicurezza. His international research experience spans Europe, North America, and the Balkans, with advanced proficiency in English and native fluency in Italian.
