Christoph Thon (M.Sc.) is a researcher at the Institute for Particle Technology within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Technische Universität Braunschweig . Since 2017, he has contributed to modeling comminution processes using artificial intelligence and serves as team leader for "Digital methods in solids process engineering" in the SPP 2364 research project on autonomous processes in particle technology. Education : M.Sc. in Bio- and Chemical Engineering (2015-2017), TU Braunschweig B.Sc. in Bio- and Environmental Engineering (2011-2014), Ostfalia Fachhochschule Wolfenbüttel His research focuses on artificial intelligence applications in process engineering , particularly for wet milling and comminution processes . He employs numerical simulations, machine learning, and data-driven approaches to develop hybrid frameworks for industrial particle technology. Recent publications highlight his work on 3D shape prediction from 2D images and physics-informed modeling for battery electrode processing.
