Dr. Natalie Hempel de Ibarra is an Associate Professor in Neuroethology at the University of Exeter's Psychology Department . She co-directs postgraduate research training and leads the Exeter Bee Lab, which investigates insect cognition, sensory processing, and pollinator-plant interactions . Her work combines behavioral experiments , physiological studies , and spectral data analysis to understand how Apis mellifera and Bombus terrestris navigate complex environments.
