Dr. Porshia Daniels is a Senior Lecturer and Outcome & Accreditation Chair in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Antioch University Seattle's School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy. She holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, alongside CACREP-accredited master's and bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Education: PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling and Rehabilitation Counselor Education (CACREP), NC A&T (2022) MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP), UNCP (2018) BS in Psychology, Methodist University (2016) Her research focuses on multicultural counseling, counseling supervision best practices, and global mental health disparities, particularly emphasizing cultural identity development and ethical considerations in diverse populations. She has contributed to the Encyclopedia of Multicultural Counseling with work on cultural identity and ethics, reflecting her commitment to social justice in counseling education. Dr. Daniels teaches graduate courses including Counseling Theories, Psychodiagnosis, Research Methods, and Communication Skills, shaping future mental health professionals through evidence-based practices and accreditation leadership.
