Thomas G. O'Connor is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Director of the Wynne Center for Family Research at the University of Rochester Medical Center . His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia (1995), an MA in Psychology (1991), and a BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester (1989). His research focuses on mechanisms linking early stress exposures (prenatal maternal anxiety, caregiving stress) to persistent child behavioral and biological health outcomes.
