Oleg Mishin is a Senior Researcher at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on materials science and mechanical engineering with particular expertise in microstructure analysis, corrosion, and additive manufacturing. His primary research interests include: Microstructure Engineering and characterization Materials processing including annealing and plastic deformation Aluminum and steel alloys development Corrosion mechanisms in various environments Additive manufacturing of functional materials Dr. Mishin's recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on advanced materials characterization techniques, particularly electron backscatter diffraction, and their application to understanding recrystallization, coarsening, and high-angle boundary phenomena in metallic materials. His work spans fundamental materials science to applied engineering problems in energy and manufacturing sectors. As a supervisor, Dr. Mishin is actively involved in multiple PhD projects related to: Corrosion failure mechanisms in electronics Optimization of PCBA cleanliness for high voltage applications Corrosion of materials in alkaline electrolyzers Development of medium and high entropy alloys Investigation of steel alloy chemistry and microstructure for oil field applications
