William Andrew Blake Hearn is a Postdoctoral Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology's Hultgren Laboratory, affiliated with the CeXS and NEXT Centers. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology (2018–2023), a master's from the University of Alberta, and a bachelor's from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on advanced materials characterization, phase transformations in metals, and additive manufacturing of Fe-based alloys using large-scale experimental facilities. Education : Bachelor's in Materials Science and Engineering, University of Toronto Master's in Materials Engineering, University of Alberta PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology Research interests include microstructure-property relationships in materials, in-situ/ex-situ characterization techniques, and leveraging experimental facilities to understand processing-microstructure-property links. He previously conducted postdoctoral research at the Paul Scherrer Institute (2023–2025). Currently located at the Hultgren Laboratory (Brinellvägen 23, Room M124) and actively involved in KTH's CeXS and NEXT research centers.
