Dr. Cathy van Dyck is an Associate Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), holding positions in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of Organization Sciences, as well as dual appointments at the Network Institute and the Organization & Processes of Organizing in Society (OPOS) research group. Her work focuses on organizational behavior, error management, and patient safety in healthcare settings. She is also the owner of The cat's Eye in Amsterdam since 2013. Her research explores how organizations handle errors, particularly in healthcare environments, emphasizing crew resource management (CRM) training, safety culture, and psychological safety.
