Mark-Jan Bludau is a researcher and information visualization designer based in Berlin, working as a Researcher at UCLAB (FH Potsdam). His work intersects Data Visualization with Digital Humanities, focusing on cultural collections, social networks, and climate policy. He has held guest professorships at Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin (2023–2025) and guest lecturer roles. Master of Arts in Design (Interface Design), FH Potsdam (2015–2017) Bachelor of Arts in Communications Design, FH Aachen (2010–2015) His research explores innovative visualization techniques for cultural heritage, multivariate graph analysis, and multimodal data representation. Recent work includes granular data modeling for diaspora archives and adaptive interfaces for art collections. His publications highlight trends in foldable visualization, edge contextualization in graphs, and multimodal coherence.
