Dr. Joan David Janer Torrens is a Full Professor of Public International Law at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and a collaborating professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) since 2003. He holds a Degree in Law with Honors (1995) , a PhD in Law (2000) , and a Master's in European Law (1996) from the College of Europe. His research focuses on EU Law , Human Rights , and Territorial Conflicts through 5 national and 3 regional research projects, including leadership of a Ministry of Science and Innovation-funded project (2020–present) on territorial conflict obligations.
