Alfred Taudes is a Full Professor at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, affiliated with the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management and the Institute for Production Management. His research focuses on the intersection of Operations and Supply Chain Management, Cryptoeconomics, and Blockchain Technology, with an emphasis on Digitalization’s impact on Operations Management and Decentralized Finance. Doctoral Degree in Business Administration (WU Vienna) Magister Degree in Management Information Systems (Vienna University) PhD (Habilitation) in both fields (WU Vienna) Over his career, he has led large-scale research projects such as the WWTF-project "Integrated Demand and Supply Chain Management" and the Special Research Area "Adaptive Models in Economics and Management Science." He has also served as a visiting professor at universities in Augsburg, Münster, Essen, and Tsukuba, Japan. The recent 15 articles highlight his work in Blockchain Applications, Cryptoeconomics, and Supply Chain Resilience, with sub-fields including Smart Contracts, Decentralized Federated Learning, and Cryptographic Solutions for Operational Challenges. These publications reflect his interest in leveraging advanced technologies to address complex problems in Finance and Operations.
