Shawn Loewen serves as Professor and Associate Chair for Graduate Studies in Michigan State University's Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures within the College of Arts & Letters. He directs the Second Language Studies (SLS) program and teaches second language acquisition and quantitative research methods courses. His educational background includes an MA from Temple University and PhD from the University of Auckland.
