Dr Felix Schaeffler is a Lecturer in the Speech and Hearing Sciences Division at Queen Margaret University (QMU), where he has been since 2006. He holds an MA in Psycholinguistics from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and a PhD from Umeå University (Sweden), focusing on phonological quantity in Swedish dialects. His research spans prosody analysis, voice quality disorders, and clinical applications of speech science. Key collaborations include work on Parkinson’s disease prosody and co-founding Fitvoice TM, a smartphone-based voice care service.
