Allen Hurlbert is a Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on macroecology, biodiversity, and the impacts of climate change on ecological communities. He leads the Hurlbert Lab, which investigates patterns in ecological communities, particularly bird migration timing, phenological mismatch, and the latitudinal diversity gradient.
