Prof. Dr. Elena Dzukeska is a Full Professor at the Institute of Classical Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Her academic journey includes undergraduate studies in Classical Philology (1994), a Master’s in Mycenaean Epigraphy (1996, Cambridge), and a PhD in Mycenaean Greek (2009, Skopje). She has held roles as Assistant (2001), Assistant Professor (2009), Associate Professor (2014), and Full Professor (2019). Affiliations: Editorial Board Chair of Systasis (2011–present), Member of Association of Classical Philologists ‘Antika’ (2001–2016), Secretary General of Independent Academic Union (2017–2019), and President since 2020. Education: Bachelor’s: Classical Philology (1994, Skopje) Master’s: Mycenaean Epigraphy (1996, Cambridge) PhD: Mycenaean Greek (2009, Skopje) Research Interests: Mycenaean Greek, comparative grammar of Greek/Latin, epigraphy, and linguistic theory. Her work focuses on morphological and syntactic structures in ancient languages, especially Mycenaean Linear B inscriptions. She explores dialectal variations, historical semantics, and translation challenges in classical texts. Key contributions include studies on time expressions in Mycenaean, genitive case forms, and the semantics of Plato/Aristotle’s ὕλη . Articles Overview: Her 15 most recent works span Mycenaean linguistics, Plautus wordplay, and Aristotle’s philosophical terminology. They reflect expertise in epigraphy, historical grammar, and interdisciplinary analysis of ancient texts.
