Khamid Mahkamov is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Northumbria University , specializing in renewable energy systems and thermal engineering. With a career spanning over 30 years, he has held academic positions at Bauman Moscow Technical University (PhD), Academy of Sciences (USSR), University of Leeds (Research Fellow), and Durham University (Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Thermofluids and Director of MSc in Renewable Energy). Current research focuses on phase change materials , solar thermal systems , and biomass energy Secured £202,688 (2023), €4M (2016), and other major grants as Principal Investigator Editorial board member for international energy journals and active in Energy Institute (UK) Membership Committee His recent publications analyze hybrid solar-biomass trigeneration , PCM thermal performance , and novel solar cooling systems .
