Professor Trudy Rebbeck is a NHMRC Research Fellow at the University of Sydney , affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health , School of Health Sciences , and John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research (Kolling Institute). She leads dual roles: Professor of Clinical Translation in Allied Health (0.6FTE) and Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (0.4FTE) through Australian Specialist Physiotherapy Education. Implementation Science Academy Fellow (Sydney Health Partners) Franklin Women’s Mentor Research Integrity Advisor Research Interests focus on musculoskeletal pain mechanisms, whiplash and neck pain pathophysiology, headache/dizziness/concussion comorbidities, and clinical care pathway implementation. She has secured >$5M in research grants over 5 years, with clinical impact through whiplash guideline development and implementation across primary care disciplines. Scientific Trends from 15 most recent articles show emphasis on GABA+ neurochemistry in pain conditions, clinical prediction rules for treatment responsiveness, compensation system distortions , and mixed-methods pathway evaluations combining neuroimaging, patient-reported outcomes, and clinical audit data.
